A Year in a Glance at Khomanani Health Research & Wellness Centre
In 2025, Khomanani HRC made significant strides toward global recognition as a rural research facility in Ha-Masia Village, Limpopo. Our team ensured operational readiness through qualified personnel, robust infrastructure, compliance systems, networking, and collaborations. We provide you with a summary of the first year of operating a research centre.
Community Engagement
Our Community Advisory Board enhanced trust and awareness, while outreach expanded through International Clinical Trials Day, World Diabetes collaborations, and local health screenings.
Strategic Partnerships
We strengthened sustainability and capacity with partners like Synexus/Thermo Fisher and Sanofi, supporting development and equipment needs.
Academic Collaboration
A new Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Venda supported joint projects on NCD risk and clinical trial awareness. We joined EMIN8 and CREA-N Global Site Networks to foster global connections.
Talent Development
Khomanani hosted graduate trainees and professionals, building local expertise in clinical research.
Global Exposure
Team members participated in leading conferences, boosting rural site innovation and capacity building.
