Background: Dr. Nkadimeng Stanley is a dedicated medical officer with over five years of
clinical experience. He holds an MBChB degree from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences
University, completed in 2015. Dr. Stanley is passionate about emergency medicine and is
working towards acquiring a fellowship in this field. He is highly motivated, hardworking,
and committed to ethical medical practices, underpinned by the Batho Pele principles.
Professional Experience: Dr. Stanley has extensive experience working in various medical
institutions. He currently serves as a Medical Officer at Ndlovu Care Group, where he
handles a range of responsibilities including attending to emergency cases in the trauma
unit, performing minor surgical procedures, and participating in clinical research work. His
previous roles include positions at Matlala Hospital and St Rita’s Hospital, where he served
as a medical officer and community service medical officer, respectively. Dr. Stanley also
completed his internship at Witbank Hospital, rotating through various medical
departments, which has equipped him with diverse clinical and surgical skills.
Clinical Research Contributions: At Khomanani Research Centre, Dr. Stanley plays a crucial
role in the execution of clinical trials. He has been a Sub-Investigator in several key trials,
including a Phase 3B study on the effectiveness of the single-dose AD26.COV2.S COVID-19
vaccine among healthcare workers, and a Phase 3 study assessing the efficacy and safety
of the AD26.COV2.S vaccine for COVID-19 prevention in adults. Additionally, he has
contributed to a Phase 2b study on a heterologous prime/boost vaccine regimen for HIV-1
prevention in women in sub-Saharan Africa. His involvement in these trials demonstrates
